Is it okay that my dad is not letting me do ANYTHING?

okay I'm 16 and my brother is almost 21 and I want to get a job and he won't let me, he said that getting a job will keep me from him this summer (my parents are divorced, and they both get half of the summer) and I can work with him, well that means I'll be with him all the time when I should be home with my mom, and he does back breaking labor and my back kills for a week after I work with him (he remodels houses) and he always yells at me on the job. And I'm supposed to get my palatal expander off in a couple weeks and it's driving me crazy and causing a bad infection and he said no I can't get it off for 6 weeks (should be 4 weeks) because he has me and he wants to go to our cottage in michigan. And, the first saturday of every month I have a ghost hunting meeting and he doesn't let me go cuz it's "his time" and he doesn't want me going. Also I can NEVER go with friends when I'm with him, cuz its 'his time' BUT when my brother was this age he didn't care about ANYTHING he let him do whatever he wanted. Why is this happening? I'm so pissed off I can't do anything at all. I tried talking to my mom she's no help at all. please give some advice I have all this anger built up inside of me and Idk what to do with it. also I had 2 applications filled out and I wanted him to take me to drop them off that's when he started yelling at me that he doesn't want me getting a job. I really need money , I want to get a car in a few months. my mom doesn't have a ton of money and I want to be able to have and work for my own money. My dad doesn't give me money, unless I work with him which I don't do.. he won't even give me 10 bucks to go to the movies with friends.. and now he's yelling at me as I type because he's telling me what he's making for dinner next weekend and I said ok it's like 2 weeks away.. he's so mean to me someone please help it's like hell here :'C

Do bathtub refinishing kits really work? I'm trying to remodel my bathroom and am thinking of refinishing my?

They work, but they have limitations and don't give an exact equivalent of a porcelain finish. My experience is with refinishing an old porcelain tub with Klenk's epoxy. It came out looking quite nice. But you must be careful what you clean the new finish with. It's not as sturdy as the original porcelain and you can't use abrasives like Comet. It can pick up stains. Mine picked up a couple from hair dye, and also when I was dyeing something at the bathroom sink. A bit of dye powder floated over to the tub, so little I didn't notice it until it had gotten damp and dyed the tub rim with coloured speckles. My refinishing job lasted about 5 years before parts started to come off, around the drain at first, then along the curve of the bottom. I don't know whether I prepped those areas insufficently, or what, but a neighbour of mine had roughly the same experience. I don't know if professional refinishing is the same.

My males can't be assed to use a wheel, as male rats are typically a lot more lazy. My females, however, love theirs. Judge by their activity levels as to whether or not they would use one. Don't buy a wire wheel as their fingers and tails can get caught in them and cause them to fall off or even get them ripped off. Plastic is my best bet, it's what I've used for all my rats that have wanted/needed a wheel. Saucer is okay too but less comfortable if you don't get it big enough. Go with a 10" or 12" wheel.

Don't do diet pills. Go for runs. Do exercise videos. Try doing 100 crunches every night before bed. If you get enough exercise, the weight will come off much quicker. Take the baby for walks in a stroller (that burns a ton of calories pushing the stroller around). It also creates bonding time with your child:) Also drink a full glass of water before you eat and another one during your meal and eat off a small plate so that it looks full without it being too much food. You don't need to change what you eat, just limit what you do, and get plenty of exercise! Also just try to incorporate veggies, they don't have to be fresh! you can buy frozen green beans, carrots, spinach and brocoli! Good luck!:)

I am remodeling my house, and I have a dumpster in my driveway, and people are constantly throwing trash in my dumpster. Every morning I go there to work on my house I find new items in my dumpster. Funding for grad school?

Sure. The way you put it you should have no problem, especially with the masters background. Don't just tell the graduate committee how you plan to be a scholar at their university, show them. When (not if) you land an interview or candidate interview show the graduate committee what you have learned through your master's program. Hopefully your master's was a thesis based due to the shear backup power on knowledge you will have, and tell them how you are going to use what you have learned and performed scholastically to the next level. If you are going in for your Ph.D. really think about how you are going tell them the directions you are heading or plan to head. If you have had the opportunity in working on a thesis tell the committees how you are committed to academic excellence in your field and specialty. Tell them something that isn't a cookie cutter version of every other student that has passed in front of them, most importantly express interest in the program but don't be too over zealous. Make sure you are relaxed, ask questions and most importantly, if you get to go to the UK before you apply, talk to faculty in the area(s) you are looking into. Get to know them and talk to them on a regular basis. If you can't go to the UK in the short term, write to the faculty members of the program of interest. Clear communication and a strong, developed candidates make the best graduate students.

Since you didn't specify this, I'll assume you remodeled your basement so a person can spend large amounts of time there in comfort. they sell pet bottles with very tiny nipples. you can get them at walmart or a feed store. don'tnt know what you are feeding it but there are concoctions from reliable sources on the internet for kitten formula. most are made from goat milk because cats are lactose intolerant and goats milk helps them get fatter and get the protein and nutrients that they need. be patient and keep trying the bottle, the nipple is softer, maybe you can put the bottle through a stuffed animal and lie the kitten there coaxing it to the nipple and it may think its his mom. other than that i would say go to a vet or call one and ask for suggestions. they need to eat alot when they are small and they need to stay warm. it is very important for their growth.

I would also say a specific time allotment, too, maybe 2 hours, and charge beyond that. Okay so me and my husband have been together for three years we've been married though for 3 months. How hard is it to get into UF with an A.A. froma community college?

Okay so I'm 17 and I've always wanted to make a great college experience for myself. I've always loved to learn, and loved travel. I think my greatest interest is English Language Arts and I'm probably going to become aan English teacher. Anyway, right now I'm almost finished with my first summer at community college and it's going to be about 2 years until I get my A.A. After that I want to transfer to UCF or UF...I've always liked the idea of Duke or Wake Forest but I come from a poor family so that's probably out of question ...However I'm interested in UF for it's amazing study abroad programs and great Education program...I like UCF for the fact that it's in Orlando, and Orlando is the only place I really love in Florida ..haha :P I know that obviously I will have to work hard and stay focused and become mature and professional in the meantime...but exactly what are my chances of getting into UF when I transfer? How do you fabricate an engine mount?

I am looking to completely remodel a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse with all new parts from the ground up. My first look is at an engine and transmission. I was thinking of purchasing a high-performance V8 engine to throw into the eclipse, but that model only seems to have a V6, so I was wondering what I would use for it, such as a different company's V8 and mount it in my eclipse, or if i need to go to a custom auto shop for them to make a custom engine. Hey, guys! Yesterday, I failed the first exam in my entire life, like really important exam. I'm in my final year at university, I'm a straight A student, I have never had problems at university before, I'm pretty good at studying. But this year is my final one, and we have a new teacher, he failed me yesterday, and now I can't apply for my final university exam for my masters degree, I have to wait until September and try again with him. I went with my friends to the Dean and he said he could get us a new date for the same exam, because we are graduating this year and he knows that we are capable, plus in my country, you have exams at the end of your final year if you fail them, you can take them again. The problem is that the Dean will get us the date for the exam, but the professor is really mean and will probably fail us again. The Dean told us if the professor fails us again, he would put two new guys to grade us... I hope it doesn't come to this. Today when we were looking at your exams to see what is wrong with them, the professor was such an ***, he basically told us that we do not need masters, because we are stupid and he didn't know how we got this far - me and few others. 18 credits in Fall Semester; are my classes TOO hard to handle?

Is this your first semester of college? At my university, 18 credits is considered a full semester and you need special permission to take any more than that. If you are going to be a freshman, I wouldn't take more than 15-16 credits your first semester just to give yourself time to adjust to college life. If this isn't your first semester, then I wouldn't worry about it. These are all 100 level classes except for one, and you said the Writing 211 class isn't that hard either, so they shouldn't be difficult to handle. If you are a 2nd year college student or up, these classes will probably be filled with freshmen that are not yet adjusted to college classes, so the competition won't be quite as stiff. Good luck.

Bet I looked at a thousand images of teacups online. Who knew it would be so hard to see the insides of the teacups. Some are clearly decorated all around. Some are decorated all around but more prominently on the side facing a right handed drinker. Almost all are photographed with the handle on the right so that it's hard to know exactly what, if anything, is on that hidden side. Did find many that appear to be decorated on just the one side, like yours, but difficult to tell. Did find one photo...FINALLY...that definitely is decorated on just the one side (see link below. look at cup on right that is mostly black on the inside). At my other home, I have a full vintage tea set and I think it has the inside decorations on only one side. Unfortunately, I can't really run to verify that. But I'm quite certain. NROTC without Scholarship?

I want to be an officer in the Navy. I want to be a computer programmer within it. I'm really trying to get into Anapolis or the Scholarship but I don't think I will. I am worried that if I don't get the scholarship and go into the Navy as a comissioned Ensign I will not have enough money to pay back my student loans by the time my first enlistment is up (four years to pay it off but i'll probably serve more)? This bruise has become HUGE! Should I see a doctor?

Three days ago I slipped going down the stairs with a basket of laundry in my arms. (We have no step railings, as my husband removed them as part of a remodel and hasn't put in new ones..) I fell hard..no doubt about it...mostly hitting my outer right thigh on the step. At first, I had only a large knot, but it began to bruise the next day and has been growing in size every since. I no longer have a hard lump on my thigh, but my bruise is at least 12 inches long and 6 inches wide, extending from near my hip bone to about an inch above my knee. Its width covers most of the back of my thigh and extends toward the front about one inch away from the center of the front of my thigh. The color is purple/black today, with lots of light spots throughout. I'm hoping this isn't serious and will resolve itself over time, but I'm a little concerned that I should have a doc check it out, just in case. My concern is that my blood vessels are still bleeding, since the bruise continues to grow. Any insight would be appreciated, especially from someone in the medical field who'd be "in the know." Can i get a good score on the SAT?

so heres my story: I was in school for a couple of years, and had a little "falling out" with my parents. No idea what caused them to start getting angry all the time, but long story short, Im not in scool anymore and dont have a co-signer. When i took the sat my score was actually a little less than what i needed to get in to a university(this school required a 21; bigger schools require 23-25) They let me in anyways. I did absolutely no preparation for the act and screwed off a lot in high school. Im looking to get any scholarships i possibly can right now. Is it possible(or even somewhat reasonable I might say) for me to get a good score on an SAT>? I was also pretty average in college, so for me to get a good score on one of these tests would be pretty amazing, but what if i really studied for it? Does my school have a right to ask for my parents income tax returns?

I'm going to Kent State University. My EFC is above my 'financial need'. All that I expect to get is a parent PLUS loan. The school won't even tell me whether I have any scholarships or anything pending if I turn in my parents W-2s and tax returns. A couple of kitten questions?

You could always try mixing in a bit of formula with some dry kitten food to get him to eat dry food . We had a kitten last year ( 1 year old now) Who was about that age when we found him and we mixed in some powdered formula which you mix with just water and added some dry kitten food. The runt may have had a harder time getting food from the mother at birth or something so he may have weaned himself earlier just because there was no competition for food that way. If the bigger kitten is just lapping up the formula every time you check his/ her bowl after eating you could try to reduce the amount of formula you give it or just lightly coat the food with it. If dry food doesnt work try just wet food. Thats all i can say

Question about regrouting bathroom tile?

The shower in our master bathroom started to leak water out onto our carpet about a year ago (we quit using it and it's been dry since) I examined the tile grout and found many cracks and places where the grout came out from between the tiles. My question is how big a job is it to regrout the tile? My arm, wrist, and all fingers go numb, tingle,and have a pulsing pain. I am right handed and my right hand is worse than my left but they both have the same problem. My fingers also get stiff. My middle and ring finger constantly feel stiff and painful from the knuckles down. i also noticed those two fingers want to stay close to one another when I flatten my hand unless I force them to spread. These problems are much worse when I sleep and when I wake up I can barely make a fist. The problem started during my home remodel project. (A lot of hammer use and intense labor.) I have no injury and no neck pain. However it is all my fingers that are affected not just two or three.

Strange Gas spewing Mushrooms in Yard?

I was in my backyard, and noticed these little mushroom things. They're small and somewhat saucer shaped, with a brownish/gray coloring, and little lines all over them. And the nuisance of dealing with tenants or hiring a management company (a nuisance in itself). It can work but in some markets, there are few properties which cahs flow well. Multi unit properties often cash flow better than single family homes but single family homes will resell quicker in most markets. I have been looking for over year for a reasonanble four-plex that will cash flow well and have yet to find the right one. Be patient.

The supply line on the toilet in the apt above me came loose. What do i do????????

My dad never gets anything done. And when he DOES get something "done", its just taking the easy way out. My mom was telling me today that he has to renew this car emmisions thing (not sure what that is) and even though she needs the car tommorow and she could get a ticket if he doesnt renew it, he STILL hasnt gotten it done. Another thing was one time my 5 yr old brother accidentally broke a window with a broom stick, that was in october, and all he did was cut out a piece of wood and nail it over the broken window. Last summer, he started remodeling the bathroom, but after he knocked out all the old tiles, he quit and just abondoned it, so now ourr bathroom is stripped of tiles and he doesnt plan on remodeling it. The thing is, my dad set up our money so my mom has no access to it, even though part of the money she made herself. So now were all stuck depending on him even though he doesnt get anything done because he all he does it sleep all day, our house is falling apart because he doesnt fix anything, and he doesnt even care, what do i do?

just relax! :D My gates are from walmart, my son is always free, never had an exersaucer (don't even know what it is) or a bouncy chair, and he's only in his crib to sleep....otherwise, he's a free bird and he doesn't get hurt, it's OK :D he'll be fine crawling on wood but you could also put him in pants all the time and that will give him plenty of padding if he actually does need it...or you can buy ANY rug you want to and it will be fine. And another thing, your son WILL hurt himself alot while he explores and learns, he'll fall, bump into things, run into things etc, and its perfectly fine, it's all part of the learning process, it's how they learn boundaries and what happens when I walk into this wall and what happens when I try to push this door open with my head :D

What university should i attend?

I am a grade 11 student, I am applying to university in the fall. I have a 94% average. My father is a professor at Brock University, it isn't great, but it's not horrible. This means I get free tuition, and if I get a scholarship, I am basically getting paid to go to university. Should I get my deposit back?

I moved into my apartment July of 2010 and when I moved in my apartment was suppose to be fixed and "ready to move in". It of course was not! Kitchen exhaust fan? I am remodeling and have my original wall mount range hood and exhaust fan to deal with.?

The fan motor and fan are mounted on my roof, the fan motor has only about 1000 hours on it. I need a new hood, controls, lights and liner etc in the kitchen, the cabinetry is covered. Will I be able to find an insert that I can wire to the existing fan or will I have to have something custom made? What color should I paint, accent and/or trim with to tone down the pink counter and sink? We bought a house that was covered in pink and our bathroom has the last remaining pink in the house. The bathroom is fairly small and has a pink swirled marble sink and counter top (all one piece). The cabinets are an off-white color with rosy pink trim. Also the walls are the same off-white color bead board up the wall about 6 feet, trimmed with the rosy pink molding followed by small pink rose wallpaper towards the ceiling. The wallpaper can be easily removed as it is coming down already. The easiest solution may be to tear out the cabinets and pink marble top and replace it with a built in vanity, but the measurements are not "typical" and I am not looking to do a bathroom remodel at this time. Should I switch my major from film to advertising?

I graduate in December 2011 in film. However, I want to go more in a communications route and possibly switch my major to either advertising or public relations. However, my college does not offer any communications, advertising, or public relations majors. I was thinking about transferring to a different school after I graduate, but the school is more expensive. I can probably get a scholarship or something to help cover the costs, but I don't know if it's worth the time or money to major in advertising and/or public relations. Should I use my film degree to get a job in advertising/public relations or should I transfer schools after I graduate and do another major?
