Should I switch my major from film to advertising?

I graduate in December 2011 in film. However, I want to go more in a communications route and possibly switch my major to either advertising or public relations. However, my college does not offer any communications, advertising, or public relations majors. I was thinking about transferring to a different school after I graduate, but the school is more expensive. I can probably get a scholarship or something to help cover the costs, but I don't know if it's worth the time or money to major in advertising and/or public relations. Should I use my film degree to get a job in advertising/public relations or should I transfer schools after I graduate and do another major?
