Can a landlord force me to repaint (Michigan).?

Your landlord hasn't got a clue. You don't have to repaint the walls to white because you didn't change the color. You are returning the premises the way that you received them, less normal "wear and tear". Should the landlord try and not return your deposit sue him in small claims court for three times the amount he didn't return.
